Privacy notice

How we handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and, for visitors in the European Economic Area, the GDPR where it applies. Last updated: April 2026.

1. Who we are

2. Information we may collect

Depending on how you use the Site, we may process:

  • Technical and usage data (for example IP address, browser type, pages viewed, access times), collected through the Site and, where used, analytics or cookies as described in our cookie notice.
  • Information you send us when you contact us (such as name, email address and message content) via the contact form or email.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Running and securing the Site (Australia: APP 3; EU visitors: GDPR art. 6(1)(f) legitimate interests).
  • Answering contact requests (APP 3; EU: art. 6(1)(b) or (f) as applicable).
  • Legal compliance (APP 3; EU: art. 6(1)(c)).
  • Aggregated audience insight, only if analytics tools are active and consent is obtained where required (EU: art. 6(1)(a)).

4. Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above and as required by law. Contact messages may be kept for the time needed to handle the thread and for any legal obligations.

5. Disclosure and overseas transfers

We may use providers who process data on our behalf (for example hosting, email or analytics). If personal information is sent outside Australia or the EEA, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or other measures recognised under applicable law.

6. Your rights

Under Australian privacy law you may access or correct your personal information and make a complaint to us. In Australia you may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner ( oaic.gov.au ). If the GDPR applies to you, you may have additional rights such as erasure, restriction, portability and objection; you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in the EU.

7. Children

The Site is not aimed at children under 13 for purposes that require parental consent. We encourage guardians to supervise young people’s online activity.
